In the eyes of young filmmakers, nature takes on many forms: stray animals in Bucharest, sonic experiments with horses, a solitary lemur in the rainforests of Madagascar, the unseen labour behind dairy production, seagulls wheeling above the city, lobsters in hatcheries, the gaze and confinement of the zoo, and a cloud whispering in the sound of rain.
These films make no grand declarations. They emerge from instinct and sensitivity, turning the camera toward hidden corners to remind us that ecology and animals are not remote concerns but deeply woven into the present. Here, the audience is more than a spectator — they become part of the conversation, responding with their choices to the questions posed by this new generation of filmmakers.
