Audience Choice Award
In 2024, with the support of the British Film Institute (BFI) and Cinema for All, we successfully launched the Audience Choice Screening Partner Program, which aims to expand our reach and engage with different groups across the UK. Bring a range of top-quality global films on themes of animals and nature to local audiences across the UK. Promote people's interest in film, especially documentaries and experimental films. Promote interaction between audiences and films/filmmakers by allowing audiences to vote for award categories.
We have established strategic partnerships with UCL, King's College London, University of the Arts London, University of Edinburgh, Teesside University, Brunel University and the community to attract young audiences with more affordable prices and interactive activities. We encourage inclusive local screenings and give audiences the power to vote for the "Audience Choice Award". The winning film voted by the audience will be announced at the closing ceremony of the film festival on October 7.
how does it work
2025 audience’s choice confirmed!
In 2025, we will cooperate with 30+ UK and mainland China universities to conduct filming, speaking and screening activities led by college students.
We have carefully selected a series of wonderful short films for the public, whose stories inspire curiosity, empathy and spark discussion about the world we live in. Our goal is to bring these films to as many warm and convenient community venues as possible for free.
what it takes to become a partner
You host one (or more) free public screenings during October and early November.
We provide all film materials and basic technical support.
You provide the venue - anywhere your local community can easily get to.
We work together to get the word out.
Your audience will vote for their favourite film and participate in the Audience Choice Award, which will be announced at the closing ceremony of the festival.
We also provide a small support budget for participating partners - this money can be used for marketing, technical needs or accessibility costs, depending on your specific needs.
