ANFFF is dedicated to giving voice to animals and nature on a global scale. To ensure objectivity and diversity in the selection of films for our competition segments, we invite preliminary judges from different cultural backgrounds to participate in the selection process, hoping to contribute new possibilities to animal and nature-themed cinema.

We are seeking individuals who possess strong English communication and collaboration skills, as well as a passion for film and a certain level of familiarity with animal and nature-themed films. We welcome submissions from individuals worldwide, with a particular emphasis on those based in the UK.

We hope you:

  • Have the ability to comfortably watch English-language films and possess English writing skills.

  • Have a passion for and interest in the film and television industry.

  • Have a certain level of familiarity with animal and nature-themed films.

  • Are committed to ensuring an adequate amount of time for film viewing during the screening period from May to July and can guarantee the quality completion of preliminary judging work.

  • Have a sense of responsibility and approach each work seriously, completing scoring and commentary tasks.

What you will gain:

  • Opportunities to connect with animal and film enthusiasts from around the world in a friendly work environment.

  • Experience as a preliminary judge in an internationally-oriented film festival. Full-time workers will receive certification from international NGO organizations.

  • Full-time judges will receive a certain amount of remuneration and tickets to ANFFF 2024 screenings and events.

Position Information:

  • Working Period: Concentrated from May to July.

  • Working Hours: Not exceeding 30 hours.

  • Working Mode: Online.

  • Job Responsibilities: Participation in preliminary judging meetings, online film selection discussions, allocation of film reviews, and compilation of curation manuals.
